Lacy Williams is the President and CEO of Texla Energy Management. Mr. Williams possesses over 35 years of experience in the natural gas industry. He began his career in 1987 with Texas Eastern Gas Pipeline as a gas measurement engineer. Texas Eastern was subsequently purchased by Panhandle Eastern, where Mr. Williams continued as Area Manager, Gulf Coast. He founded Texla Energy Management, Inc. in 1993.
Andy Davis joined Texla in 2021 as Chief Financial Officer. He brings more than twenty years of experience in finance and business development, including the last fifteen years in the energy sector. Prior to joining Texla, Davis spent two years at Motiva Enterprises as a Finance Strategic Advisor. Before Motiva, he served in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility with Spark Energy, most recently as Vice President of Finance, where he led the Treasury, FP&A, and Investor Relations functions. Davis also directed Spark’s M&A activities and was instrumental during the company’s IPO in 2014. He began his energy career with NRG Energy in 2009. Davis received degrees in Management Information Systems and Communication from the State University of New York at Geneseo and an MBA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Rachelle Melgarejo is Texla Energy Management’s Chief Risk Officer with over 15 years of expertise in managing risk and ensuring compliance. She leads efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, helping the organization navigate challenges while staying aligned with business goals. With a deep understanding of financial, operational, and reputational risks, Rachelle is passionate about building a culture of proactive risk management. She manages Texla’s Middle Office, which includes credit, contracts, compliance, and trade risk among others, all aimed at protecting the company’s long-term success. Rachelle holds a degree in Finance and Economics from the University of St. Thomas and an MBA from the University of Houston and is dedicated to helping Texla balance growth with smart, strategic risk management.
Wade Sadler leads the Wholesale Services Group bringing over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. He has extensive knowledge of both supply and market side asset management agreements, storage and transportation optimization, trading and scheduling. With a strong focus on building and maintaining long term relationships, the Wholesale team provides creative solutions for its customers. Sadler has previously managed teams at Dynegy Marketing and Trade, Louis Dreyfus Energy Services, Atmos Energy Marketing and CenterPoint Energy Services.
George Fritz joined Texla Energy Management in 2001, applying his extensive knowledge of natural gas and industry connections to provide producer services for Texla clients, while developing new business opportunities for the company. Fritz graduated from the University of Houston in 1989 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. Fritz began his career working for his father’s pipeline company, Coronado Transmission Company. In August, 1990, Fritz continued his career in the gas marketing field with Delta Gas Marketing, later transitioning to End Users Supply System, Texas Ohio Gas, and Aurora Natural Gas. Fritz started Corpus Christi Gas Marketing in 1995, where he and his partners began energy marketing in the Northeast Region of the United States. In 1998, Fritz sold his corporate equity and began working for Tejas Power as the Director of Gulf Coast Trading. Fritz is a standing member of the Houston Producers Forum, The National Energy Services Association, Natural Gas & Energy Association of Oklahoma, IPAA, LOGA, Arklatex Oilmen’s Association, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Gulf States Oil & Gas Association in Mississippi.
Scott Beasley joined Texla in 2005 as a member of the business development team. His industry experience not only includes working with producer services clients, but also managing Texla’s ETRM system and numerous contract and compliance related tasks. Beasley began his career with Tennessee Gas Pipeline, where he worked in the gas operations department as open access was approved by the FERC. Successful stints in marketing natural gas for Citizens Gas Supply, Engage Energy, and Pancanadian Energy have contributed to his broad range of experience, ranging from the wellhead to burner tip. Beasley has extensive experience serving as a consultant for several ETRM development companies, providing energy trading and risk management services. He received an Accounting degree from Mississippi State University.
Andy Alarid has played a pivotal role at Texla since joining the team in 2013 with their acquisition of Magnus-Shoreline Gas, LLC. With over 20 years in the marketing and trading side of the business, he brings his extensive expertise in accounting integration, scheduling improvements, and operational continuity to Texla’s new and existing customers alike. Prior to joining Texla, Andy was the head of operations at Magnus-Shoreline Gas where he was responsible for the physical gas trading desk. Andy received his BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University and is currently on the board for the Trading, Risk, & Investment Program (“TRIP”) there as well. Andy is the current president of the Natural Gas Society of East TX, and, in his free time, you can find Andy on the tennis court with his wife. He is a proud Dad of three girls: one at Texas A&M; one at Baylor, and his youngest still in high school.
David Musgrove joined Texla in 2010 and has over 18 years of producer wellhead marketing experience. Musgrove’s responsibilities include building and managing a client base, assisting in marketing, processing, NGL sales, transport contracts, trading, contract negotiations, imbalance management, and scheduling. Prior to his role at Texla, Musgrove served as Director of Magnus Energy Marketing, Ltd., where he helped build the start-up company by managing Manti resources equity gas, and adding third-party gas volumes. A Houston native, Musgrove received a Business degree from Texas A&M University, Galveston.
Jim Elliott is the Senior Manager at Texla’s Dallas office, where he leads project sourcing, oversees market pipeline supply contracts, and manages production supply. His role also includes negotiating contracts related to gathering, processing, treating, and marketing natural gas and NGLs. Before joining Texla, Elliott founded and served as President of Thinkhire, LP, a Dallas-based IT supply chain consulting firm. His career in energy began at Mobil (now ExxonMobil) US Marketing and Refining, where he held various management roles in business development, operations, financial planning, and training. Elliott earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northeastern Illinois University. He is actively involved in industry groups, including Dallas Wildcatters, Fort Worth Wildcatters, ADAM Energy Forum, and the Dallas Petroleum Club.
Lisa Cummings is the Executive Assistant to the President/CEO and performs various functions in Texla’s executive, financial, and operational divisions. In addition to directly supporting the President and producer services team, she is responsible for human and administrative resources and provides non-commercial accounting support. Prior to joining Texla in 2019, she worked for seven years in pipeline pigging services and had ten years of specialized experience in comprehensive small business management and accounting. Outside of work, Cummings herds cats, studies brown bears, and explores risk management through the study of true crime and aviation disasters. She has a B.A. in Economics from Southwestern University with concentrated work in econometrics and political theory.
